Pollensa

Pollensa and Puerto de Pollensa are located in a beautiful bay. The city has interesting architecture and offers several sights.

Among  them is the the Calvari chapel located on the top of the Calgary Mountain. To reach the chapel you need to climb the 365 steps  on the Via Crusis (Way of the Cross). At the end you can admire the whole panorama of the city and the neighboring port from the summit and visit the chapel.

The city consists of narrow, irregularly running streets creating labyrinths. In the main square Plaza Major there is the church Nostra Senyora dels Àngels built by the Templars. There are many restaurants on the Plaza Major. Every Sunday there is a market where you can buy many handicrafts, food products, clothing and products typical for Mallorca.

The stairs are impressive and at the end you will have a view of the whole bay!

Practical hint
: Take a trip from Pollensa to the nearby Lluc Monastery with famous Black Madonna.
